Mallory Square-Tourist Central

Although we weren't so interested in touristy attractions and shopping, we couldn't help but be charmed by the colorful surroundings we found ourselves in when we were dropped off at Mallory Square by the cruise ship shuttle. Before heading for our neighborhood rambles to Fort Zachary Taylor State park, we stopped to browse a little at the colorful carts and stalls, choosing a few things to commemorate our time here. We soon spotted a mother hen and her chicks scratching for bugs who were then chased off by a brightly plumed rooster.

Some of our group split off to go to the shipwreck museum, which they weren't too impressed with. They went on to browse and shop and ended up on a wonderful free tour of the Curry Mansion Inn.

The three of us, when we returned to Mallory Square before going back to the ship, were looking for lunch, but ended up just having chocolate dipped frozen key lime pie instead...Wow. That was heaven on a stick!
