Favorite Thing: Kyoto is a beautiful city for walking. Set out in any direction and you are bound to encounter something amazing.
Fondest Memory: My family and I took a peaceful stroll along Tetsugaku-no-michi, which is also known as the Philospher's Path. It's a tree lined, narrow walkway that follows a crystal clear river in which we spotted colorful Koi fish along the way. depending upon the season you visit you may be lucky to see the Cherry blossom trees in bloom or the Japanese maple awash in fall colors. This was one of our more relaxing walks.
