I've never had any desire to go to New York City though it's probablly the most famous city in the entire United States. I grew up in Los Angeles, on the west coast, and being from LA I've always viewed NYC as our big city rival. I had a friend who moved from Los Angeles to NYC and she loved everything about the 'Big Apple' and couldn't stop hyping it up. So when the big millinium year 2000 celebrations came up my buddy Jason and I were invited out to NYC to celebrate in the world famous Times Square. How could we pass that up! There was nothing quite like ringing in the new millinium with thousands of other people from across the globe right smack dab in the middle of the most famous new years celebration. These two backpackers partied NYC style!

The photo up above is of me jumping up over the heads of a swarm of New Yorker's in the financial district near Wall Street. People must have wondered what the hell I was doing!

The building you did not know the name of is the Flat Iron building. It is one of my favorite buildings in NY. Those pics of you on top of the World Trade Center must give you goose bumps when you look at them now.
