Nantucket is one of those places that is nice just to circumambulate, and discover its history as a seafaring port. After a while, you get to know all of the old family names, the Coffees et. al., as though they were long-lost cousins.

OK, I've already been remonstrated for my slack treatment of this fine island! Truth be told, this cemetery shot is one of my personal favorites, but I do have one or two other photos to share if I root around a bit, so check back later.

Actually, it is not the oldest house, tho at one time it was thought to be. The oldest documented house is Auld Lang Syne in the village of 'Sconset
