  • Unique Qualities: This is an excellent hotel!!! Best in Bangkok. Rooms are quite pricey but they are great. I don't know how much they are for 'normal tourists' because we have always got an airline staff discount. Rooms are big and well decorated. The bathroom is also great. Everything is clean and tidy which I personally think is the best quality of a hotel room. The hotel has several in-house restaurants but I haven't tried them.

  • I enjoyed my stay at the Landmark hotel. The guests are mainly business people but the hotel is a good choice for other travellers also.

The ordinary rooms are quite small. The pool is also quite small but very nice and big enough. There's also a jacuzzi next to the pool but my opinion is that its water gets too hot when the weather is also hot and humid. You can find the pool at the 9th floor. There's also a sun deck at the 11th floor. You can enter the sun deck from pool and vice versa. While we stayed at the hotel we found the sun deck very quiet and peaceful place to relax. The pool area was sometimes very crowded and that's why we mostly stayed at the sun deck.

The hotel staff were excellent! They were friendly and always smiling. Especially those men/boys who worked in the pool bar, they were great!

The location is good. The nearest station is Nana Station and it takes about 2 minutes to walk from hotel to the station.

Unique Qualities: I liked very much the buffet breakfast. You can choose almost everything from the traditional japanese breakfast to the english breakfast.

The fruits were so juicy and fresh! There's also a wide section of desserts such like sugar-dognuts and croissants. Yam!

  • I wasn't pleased with this hotel. The room or "suite" as they called it was big but very worn-out and old. The ceiling leaked, water came in the room. It was actually quite awful experience. Fortunately we stayed only one night and then moved to Amari Watergate.

One thing which is good is the location.

Hei Petra! Samansuuntaisia ajatuksia minullakin on näin ensimmäisen Bangkokin matkan jälkeen. Ehkä toisella tai kolmannella kerralla avautuisi minullekin. Oikein hauskaa syntymäpäivää!

So you only visit cultural havens such as Bangkok see tourist attractions, then? Obviously it's nice to visit them, but surely it's the cultural insight, seeing how the locals live compared to back home, that makes a trip...
