Frankfurt is one of those cities, like Chicago in the USA, that any frequent traveler is bound to stumble on. I've stopped in the airport here numerous times and it always strikes me as I'm descending toward the earth that Frankfurt looks more like the States than other German cities. Modern skyscrapers adorn the skyline here as in cities in Asia and North America, but don't be fooled, you'll find plenty of things within that are unmistakably German. |
