"Rolling hills and castle walls" Wales by acemj

I was here when I was a kid in the eighties, so my memories are a bit faded, but there are two things that I will never forget. The gorgeous, rolling hills and the ancient stone castles of Wales are beautiful. In particular, historic Caernarfon Castle stands out in my mind. Caernarfon is an incredibly well-preserved and impressive castle situated strategically on a harbor. It was once a pivotal English stronghold under Edward I.

It's time you returned to Wales. The scenery is still much the same, and smaller places still have privately owned shops, but all towns in UK now seem to have the same shops [Next, bhs, Mand S, River Island , Tesco, Asda etc etc]
This is a great castle page. Thanks.
Nice tips from a blurred memory! You should try Scotland if you like castles.
I love that castle! Great little page about your childhood travels! I've been often to Enland as a child and have wonderful memories of that. But I never made it as far as Wales. Maybe some day.... :-)
Nice page on your old memories! They are about the same as my dimmed ones from a 1979 visit! Maybe I should dust those old prints off and have another look!!
When you were whining about the puzzle your mom should've poured hot oil over you and thrown you in the dungeon!! haha Great pics of days gone by!!
what a beautiful old castle - great opening pic
Nice!!!
Diggin' up some old photos, are ya? ;)
Nice little page.
