    • OH MY! I could gaze at this picture forever (I really like to eat). This picture was taken at a pastry shop near St. Joseph's Oratory. There are lots of "boucheries" around town that have similar selections. I recommend getting whatever looks best to you. I love the strawberry tarts.

    I didn't eat here, but I noticed it in the guide books. The setting in the park on Ile Ste Helene (the island) is beautiful.

    This place offers paninis, coffees, juices, baked goods and a great neighborhood environment. It was located only a few steps from my hostel and they didn't laugh at me once when I tried to order in French!

    Montreal is somewhat famous for its homemade bagels and this place is one of the best! They make them fresh each day by hand and the results are impressive.

    Favorite Dish: A sesame seed bagel and a cup of coffee gets me off to the right start in the morning.
