America's roots | Top of Virginia's First State Capitol |
I was fortunate enough to visit Williamsburg with a great tour guide, VT member b1bob (thanks, Nat). Nat and I had discussed getting together for this trip for awhile and Williamsburg proved to be worth the wait. Visiting Williamsburg is both educational and enjoyable and is a must see if you are interested in U.S. history. The historic area is full of original structures as well as historical reconstructions intended to depict Colonial life. Thanks to the generosity of the famous American entrepeneur John D. Rockefeller, Williamsburg survives today and offers us a glimpse into America's roots. |
