Hager's Arcade: Lots of shops

This was our first stop in Lancaster because there's a great parking lot right behind the mall and we were hoping to wait out the rain. Unfortunately, the rain never stopped, but we did stumble on some interesting crafts. My mom bought some nice earrings and my nephew had a great time entertaining some ladies in a souvenir shop. What a charmer.

Directions: Enter off of King St. or Market St.

Central Market: America's oldest farmers' market

A great place to buy local food specialties like Pennsylvania Dutch sausage and cheeses. The building is well over 100 years old and is also a great place to buy souvenirs. The hours are a bit limited. Open Tuesdays and Fridays, 6am-4:30pm and Saturday 6am-2pm.

Directions: The main entrance is off of King Street around the corner from the Heritage Museum.
