Lancaster Travel Guide: 258 reviews and 324 photos
My sister, brother-in-law, mom, nephew and I decided to take a day trip from Philadelphia and visit Amish country, better known as Lancaster County. There are other pages here on VT that focus more on the Amish culture, so I'm going to try to offer something a little different on this page.
The rain didn't really cooperate with great picture taking and strolling around, but the beautiful green, rolling hills and the picturesque and well-kept farms are wonderful to view from a car. We visited Intercouse, Bird in Hand, Lancaster and Ephrata.
I returned to Lancaster County exactly a year later for a VT meeting in Intercourse (the puns are endless!) and had a great time meeting some great friends.

Nice Lancaster page, this is a family favorite of ours. Outlets are everywhere.

Hey Hooahman. Did you read the whole page? Obviously not.
Interesting touristy place to visit but its 20miles from Lancaster. Would be best filed under EPHRATA,PA.
Intercourse? What an interesting name for a town. Helpful tip about not photographing Amish people.
Unfortunately, I didn't know about this no photo rule of the Amish and had a little incident taking one! Now, I HAVE to do an Intercoure page. lol
Beautiful page - helpful hints, no photographs of Amish people - OK, although I am not sure about me there :-)
