Energetic New York City!

by acemj - last update: Dec 12, 2005

The city that never sleeps! New York is arguably the capital of the world!! There's Wall Street, Times Square, The Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building, The Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and so much more to see. All are images familiar to people throughout the world! Songster Billy Joel said he was "in a New York state of mind" and indeed, New York is a state of mind. Depending how your mind works, you may fall immediately in love with this city of endless energy or you may be completely overwhelmed and turned off. For me, any city that has this much to do and see, is a great city. I have been to New York often and each time I go, I discover something new. An architectural gem, a quiet corner, a great restaurant or a bargain store. Hopefully, there are many more new discoveries waiting for me on future visits.

Fast paced New York!

It seems like every time I go to NYC, it's only for a couple days. Sometimes I'll hop a train and spend a weekend in New York, but it would be great to actually live here for awhile and truly get to know the place. I've learned that if you only have a couple days, it's best to just choose a neighborhood (no, Manhattan is not a neighborhood) and explore it well. You could spend weeks exploring Greenwich Village or Midtown or Brooklyn alone so don't overwhelm yourself by biting off more than you can chew.
