That's my buddy Biju (VT member Zack01) on the right and me on the left enjoying a great meal (good Vietnamese food). The location makes this place very desirable. We would have loved to have sat outside on the cafe style tables on Newbury Street, but the wait was too long. Pho, if you don't know, is a light Vietnames soup specialty that is filled with various meats or vegetables to your specifications and served with fresh basil and sprouts.
Favorite Dish: The food was really good here. The chef goes for a Vietnamese fusion style with a great deal of success.

Restaurant Name: Mike's Pastry
If you want gelato or coffee beverages for take out, line up on the right, by the gelato coolers. If you want pastries and other desserts, line up to the left.
Favorite Dish: Well, I went there twice and had a couple of classic Italian desserts, pistachio gelato and a cannoli! Having just been in Italy 3 months earlier, this place is quite authentic and always crowded. Apparently, when former President Clinton visits Boston, Mike's Pastry is always one of his stops.

Restaurant Name: Au Bon Pain
Favorite Dish: Not one of my favorites to tell the truth. I'm putting it here, because it is a Boston-based chain. The concept is good. A European-style sandwich cafe also serving coffee drinks and French-style pastries, but the execution isn't that impressive.

Restaurant Name: The Other Side Cosmic Cafe
This place has a funky vibe with employees who all look like they've done some experimenting with herbs outside of the kitchen. I liked the feel of the place and the food was pretty good, but the service was extremely slow and it almost seemed like we were being ignored.
Favorite Dish: They have a great selection of natural juice drinks (they juice everything there) and a good beer selection on tap. I had a prosciutto sandwich and a cup of vegetable chili, both of which were good, not exceptional. This place would normally get a "satisfied" rating, but the service was very disappointing.
