The mile-long boardwalk along the beachfront of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is teeming with people. Little brats begging their parents for another funnel cake, muscle heads trying to make sure everyone is looking at them and families scanning the beach for an open space in the sand to claim as their own all make up this bustling human spectacle. If this is your kind of scene, then by all means, come to Rehoboth, particularly in the summer months when this crowd is thick and the weather is pipin' hot. If not, then be sure to visit Rehoboth Beach in the off-season, when parking is easier to find as is an open space along the beach. Prices are quite naturally lower and the weather isn't quite so oppressive.

I came down at the end of July and didn't really enjoy the place. Admittedly, I'm more of a mountain guy than a beach guy (well, really I'm more of a city guy than anything else!). Fortunately, the one redeeming grace of Rehoboth Beach for me is that it's the home of one of my favorite beers, Dogfish Head, and I was able to spend some quality time in a cool bar, sipping some good beer.
