Descending into the Phoenix airport at night is a great experience. Try to get a window seat so that you can watch the lights brighten the blackness of the Arizona desert. I was shocked at how expansive this city looks at night. The lights just go on and on and on . . . Maybe that's because the Phoenix metro area includes the cities of Mesa, Scottsdale and Tempe.
I was just in town for four days and most of my time was spent working. However, I do have a good friend who lives here, so he was able to show me around a bit. As a graduate of Arizona State University, my friend was proud to show me all around Tempe where the university is located. He also gave me a driving tour of downtown, Mesa and Scottsdale. |
