"Baguio: A faint memory" Baguio City by acemj
Baguio City Travel Guide: 976 reviews and 2,282 photos
The little guy running on that hill, believe it or not, is acemj in 1974. The interesting thing for me is that this was one of my very first memories. I was in Baguio City as well as Manila, but really the only thing I can recall is playing on this hill with my dad and a flash of an image of my sister riding a horse. We were in the Philippines visiting some friends who lived here and the day this photo was taken we were visiting the then John Hay U.S. Air Force Base, which is now a recreational area for locals.
This page will be utterly useless to you if you're hoping to glean some knowledge about Baguio City, but if you'd like to take a look at some old and yellowing photos that I found in my mom's albums, you've come to the right page. Enjoy.

i was there recently. you reach it via a long, winding road. It is probably much more built-up than when you were there, but it still has the relaxing atmosphere of a hill station.
Yup, those are bananas indeed! it's nice to look back and recall fond and loving memories of our childhood specially if it's our parents who gave those to us;D Tnx for droppin by my Bled page.
Very nice moments to share,... I've been to Cebu, also too long ago to remember ... thanks, greetzzz RoyJava
Wow Mark, you probably started to travel before to walk:-))
nice memories and pics-bananas looked great too. :D
You'll be surprise how it has changed through the years, I was myself. it is not as charming as it use to be and not as green as it use to be. Too many people & too many vehicles. You almost have to wear a face mask to walk around town.
Hi Mark, nice pics...have some old ones too of Baguio. The people from Baguio are Igorot, not Ifugao ;) The Ifugao are around Banaue. And, Baguio was better then than now
A very interesting step back into memory lane!! Nice to do that once in a while - I've got tons of 'yellowing old photos' myself!!
Do visit Baguio again! You're lucky because you've seen the greener Baguio so many years ago!
Awesome tips.
