I've been to India six times, but it's been many years since my last visit. My father was born in Kerala, a beautiful southern Indian state full of palm trees and beaches. I've also spent some time in Bangalore, Mumbai (Bombay), Chennai (Madras), Delhi, Calcutta and many other cities.
Growing up in Hong Kong, we used to travel in Asia extensively and since we had relatives in India, it became a frequent destination.
India is like no other place. At various times, you will be awed by the sheer number of people, dismayed by the levels of poverty, mesmerized by the predominant spiritualism, and enticed by the aroma of the land. No matter what your specific impressions, you'll be intrigued by India.

Intriguing is exactly what India is indeed! I am fascinated with this country that I have never yet visited. With so much variety, is it a single country or a whole world? When I was a student, I had a good friend from Kerala, studying paper processing.
