    Getting TO/AROUND: We had a car, so we didn't take the bus but this is what the local bus looks like if you need a ride. You can pay the driver when you get on and there are plenty of stops around town.

    Getting TO/AROUND: Coimbra has two main trains stations, known simply as A and B. This is a picture of Coimbra A located down by the river. There are six daily train links with Lisbon and the trip takes about 2 1/4 hours. Four daily trains run to Porto and take about 1 1/4 hours.

    Getting TO/AROUND: We were walking around the riverfront on Sunday morning and noticed this boat floating by full of people partying. It was loudest spot in town for sure and we really wished we were on the boat with them!!

     This was over 2 years ago, so by now I'm sure you've gotten reconciled to digital photography (the best invention since crunchy peanut butter in my opinion). My visit to Coimbra was on a bicycle tour of Spain and Portugal, quite a few years ago.

     Did u go in summer ? I studies there (erasmus) from september to februari and nightlife was great, especially Via Latina. Maybe you went on a day that they had holidays because it's a vibrant city !
