Various: Plaza Mayor and vicinity

Plaza Mayor and the streets around it are great for a relaxing evening stroll, which you will see many families enjoying, but there are also a few good bars around here. There's a place called Bambu just outside the square on the southwest corner and if you head out from the northern gate, you'll be a few steps from a popular Irish Pub, called O'Haras.

If you're interested in something more culturally significant (although taking with Spanish women is very culturally interesting to me), you could check out a performance at the recently renovated Teatro Liceo in Plaza del Liceo, just outside Plaza Mayor (off of the southeast corner).

Calle Van Dyck: Maybe the best street in town

I walked from Plaza Mayor (where this are also some decent nightlife spots) all the way iup to Zamora which turns into Paseo del Doctor Torres Villaroel to Calle Van Dyck on the northern end of town. Here you'll find a number of great bars and restaurants and a pretty good scene. I ate at El Bodegon (see my restaurant tip) and also had some drinks at El Corral de Abuela. There are so many places here that you shouldn't have any trouble finding a place, but some of them are pretty small and seating is sometimes limited.
