Favorite Thing: The Grand Canal, also known as the Canalazzo, winds through the heart of Venice for 2 1/2 miles passing through each of the six city districts (sestieri). Lining its banks you'll find beautiful palaces, museums and churches.

Favorite Thing: One of the best things about Venice, is just walking around and letting yourself get lost. The street plan is this: there is no recognizable plan! So without an incredibly detailed map, you will find yourself disoriented. These yellow signs will help guide you in the general direction of some of the more important locations (i.e. san marco, accademia, piazzale rome, etc).
