    • Favorite Thing: If the eye is the window to the soul, I figure the eye that has seen the world reveals a richer, fuller soul.

    • Favorite Thing: North America is great to see by car. From big city excitement to wide open spaces, a car can take you there. Of course, the enormity of the continent makes flying a necessity if you're itinerary includes far-flung destinations. Trains are not as far reachind and efficient (for the most part) as in Europe, but they are also a possibility.

    • Favorite Thing: There are miles of coastline to explore and North Americans have a great seafaring tradition. Boating is also big inland on lakes and rivers across the continent. One of the most popular cruise destinations in Alaska, often reached by way of the western Canadian coast from either Seattle or Vancouver.

    • Favorite Thing: I love Canadians! I've never met a mean one yet! Even this Canadian mountie looks like a nice guy (In Mexico, they're called federales and in the States we call 'em cops).

    • Favorite Thing: I used to see these in Minnesota all the time! There is an abundance of wildlife in Canada and all throughout North America. You can see moose, bear, eagles, mountain lions and many more.

    • Favorite Thing: Check out this picture. Looks like a snowy field. Nope. It's Mt. Mckinley, the tallest mountain in North America, peeking through the clouds. It's located in Denali National Park, Alaska.

    • Favorite Thing: There are many, many beautiful, historic lighthouses throughout North America. I've seen many of them in the US, but I'd love to explore many more, especially the ones up in Nova Scotia. This one is in northern Minnesota.
