Ortahisar is one of the more off the beaten path villages in Cappadocia. I was only here for a couple hours with a small tour group eating lunch at the Culture Museum Restaurant on the main square.
The rock castle that dominates the town is the most interesting sight here (the folk/culture museum at the restaurant is pretty lame) and provides great views over the village and the surrounding valley.
The town itself is known for its storage of lemons in the dark and cool caves. |

b1bob Sun May 18, 2008 18:43 UTC The only museum food I've ever had that stands out as good is that in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum and that was years ago. Prudential ought to have its regional office there (piece of the rock). |
