    • Luggage And Bags: AMSTERDAM -- If you are going through Amsterdam, make sure you put clean underwear in each of your checked bags ... they are going to lose at least one of them. In actuality, they don't lose them; they just don't put them on the same plane you're on. (We lost two of three on our way to Venice and one of three on our way home.) Carry on your toothbrush, etc.

    • Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: SHOES -- Wear comfortable shoes with good support. Unless you are used to walking a lot, you're going to walk more than you ever thought possible. This isn't a bad thing ... it is just the way it is.
