The Historic Center of Lima is one of the most beautiful and biggest of America. It has a great colonial architectonic richness. During the Viceroyalty, it reached its maximun splendor. The city of Lima was known before as “Ciudad Jardin” (Garden City) due to the beauty of its parks and its huge green areas.
Lima City Hall has undertaken the responsabilty of recovering the Historic Center of Lima, making possible that this city looks as beautiful as it was before. Gardens, squares, monuments , historic buildings and ancient balconies have been beautified and are well preserved due to their great cultural value. |
