Norwich is an old market town with a castle, two Cathedrals and a large market. It is situated in "the arse of england" and you have to make an effort to get here, not only becuase it is on the way to nowhere but it takes an age. It is two hours from London by train but is well worth a visit.
Medieval merchant halls, guildhalls and churches are all there to be explored.
The river runs from here to the broads so a boating holiday would be on e reason to come here.
There are lots of things to do in the evenign as well, three theatres, three music venues, not withstanding the various pubs that do music, quiz nights and kareoke.
Dragon Hall - an old medienval guildhall, the largest soloely owned of its time, its well worth having a tour.
