A love affair with Italy
Originally from the UK, I came to Rome back in July 2001 with the intention of staying just 3 days before moving on to Greece. I'm still here and have yet to set foot on Greek land!
First I feel in love with the city and then a visit to Piazza di Spagna and I was in love with an Italian too. We got married on 13th July 2006 (that's us in front of the Colosseum in the photo) and have two children, Matteo born December 2007 and Lorenzo born August 2011.
I'm a freelance writer and my favourite topics to write about is Italy, in particular Rome. It's true what they say, a lifetime isn't enough to see everything the city has to offer.
I'm always discovering little gems that are just as worth visiting as the more famous sites and have loads of tips to share to help others save money or time whilst visiting and get the most out of their trip. I have lots of information for people who plan on staying longer too (it's easier to do than you'd think... you have been warned)
Well that's me in a nutshell.
