After have been 2 weeks on the North Island my little car and I took the ferry from Picton to Wellington.

After staying one day and one night in the rainy and windy capital of Wellington, I drove to the Kapiti Coast where I stayed with friends for a few days and experiences some of the most adventorous moments in my trip, like 4-Wheel driving and fishing on open sea for the first time in my life.

Not enough, I went up to Hamilton where I stayed the rest of my holidays at BUBBS place. From there I enjoyed day trips to Tauranga, Kiwi's place, Whangarei, Rotorua and surroundings.

I had a great pleasure to meet KIWI at her farm and got an excellent hospitality. Kiwi lives between Hamilton and Tauranga.

Beside of of meeting KIWI (a person) I had the chance to be out in the wild and stay a whole day in the bush and forest with the Department of Conservation. I will write a little bit later on a travelogue about this special event. For the moment, enjoy myself holding a male kiwi bird.

I also had the chance to meet YMG, who is a professional ayurvedic consellor and I thought: mmmh would be nice to get a real relaxing massage after all that travelling. I did it and it was wonderful, a little bit oily the whole thing but really nice. Yolande lives in Hamilton.

I would like to thank all my VT friends for their great hospitality. It was really a pleasure to meet lovely people and get to know a little bit more inside the country and the culture.

For the moment my need to be in New Zealand is satisfied, but I know I will go back, and hopefully to help the endagered KIWI's. I will make a special TRAVELOGUE for them.
