Guys! It’s finally time! Congratulate this year’s VT Wacky Flag Contest Winners!

We have two honorable mentions, who will each receive a blue iPod shuffle.

The first honorable mention is Margarette Contreras (aka summer88) of Palawan, Philippines, for her picture of the Great VT Flag at the Great Wall of China. She’s pretty lucky; she got her flag pics to us on the second to last day of the contest!

The other honorable mention is member Webfling, who despite being from Okinawa, Japan, managed to take her awesome flag photo at Yosemite’s Glacier Point. Not only did she also feature a dog in the photo, she visited the park over Martin Luther King Day weekend when it was free!

Our lone runner-up, who will be receiving a blue iPod nano shortly, is Karl (aka Roadquill) of Calabasas, California. To get his flag photo, he traveled all the way to the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, and then risked his flag and his life to document these fellow participants! The good time had by all shows through the photo!

And our GRAND PRIZE WINNER, who will be getting the engraved, white classic iPod, is Cyndy Miranda-Coronado, aka Cyndymc, whose photo featured her wearing a borrowed headdress from a lead dancer in a parade near Bacolod City, Philippines. Not only is the photo beautiful, but it exemplifies VT: getting local, meeting new people, being involved! While all the runners-up were great, this photo is truly just over the top! Congrats Cyndy!
