A nice place in the south-west of Russia. There are many things to discover, but unfortunately, this place hasn't enough money (all taxes go to Moscow)!! So, ask VT members or local people, and you could find good museums, even, with special prices for strangers :-(
And now, enjoy the Rostov's Cathedral.
Some repairs inside will make this place more beautiful.

Beautiful buildings and hazardous roads! Friendly people and bribed officials! Must be sa lot of fun for a Frenchman there. I guess I'd be just fine, still remember what it used to be here some 10 years ago...

Those markets look really interesting and being able to try everything would be great!!!.. Tanais has some very interesting history. I know I wouldn't want to drive there.
