Fortunate to love travel; lucky to do it!
Some years ago, I was speaking with my youngest daughter - I had taken her to several places that I had been over the years, and I asked her this one question:
"From all the places you've been, and all the people you've met, tell me in one sentence, what you've learned."
She thought about it for a while, and then answered, "that we're all pretty much the same".
I couldn't have said it better myself.
I have indeed been fortunate to love traveling to 'far-away lands', always eager in school to excel in geography, history, and linguistics, always fairly able to pick up languages, even if all I learned was what I needed at the time, and then blessed with a good memory to remember what I learned.
Where do I go from here? This coming Saturday, I leave to start a project in Morocco that will place me there for about three months or so. After that, who knows? Places that are possible (from the work that I do) are San Francisco, Sydney, Zuerich, UK, Moscow, or ?
I guess, together, we'll have to stay tuned.
