My first visit to Brugge was back in March 2010 and it was a wet and miserable day for weather, but I was still impressed with the city architecture. I got the impression that the city real only now exists for the purpose of tourism rather than being a thriving city anymore.
In June 2012 I got to return, again just for a day, but this time I had much better weather and was better planned in how I was going to spend my time. I was much more impressed than on my first visit and still didn't manage to make it to all the main attractions. I still stand by the impression that Brugges best days are past, but the legacy of the city's heyday are what makes the place such an inviting place to visit now.
- Pros:Full of things to see
- Cons:Too many other people try to see the same things as you!
- In a nutshell:Beautiful, but crowded

What an amazing place to visit... I wish I could travel to Belgium some day...
Nice page about charming town. We spend there about half of the day, and it defiantly was not enough! Thank you for visiting my Paris page. I am sure you will love Paris!
Troy, lovely little page about Brugge, which I visited once with my parents when I was a little boy, so I actaully don't remember much. Interesting tip about the Chocolate Museum. There is also a Chocolate Museum in Cologne which I once visited and I must admit that I thought exactly the same like you. It is more important to eat the sweet stuff than to visit a museum about it. *winkygrin*
Next time stay for a couple of days, after everyone leaves from the daytrips it becomes a much nicer place!
Nice tips here, I'm going to Brugge the beginning of next month & was hoping it would be quiet but going by your experience maybe not!
Thank you Troy for bringing back sweet memory about this wonderful city! Pity it was a wet and cold day when you have been visiting it!
