The Residence Inn in Rosslyn is a very nice, clean, friendly hotel is the lively Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington. This 12 story hotel has 176 suites, each with living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchenettes. The hotel has a fitness center, Wi-Fi and wired (Cat-5) internet access in the rooms, full buffet breakfast, coffee in lobby, and a weeknight evening reception with food and occasionally drinks. Rooms range from about $135 to over $200 a night, and on-site parking is $6 hourly or $12 USD daily. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the Marine Corps Iwo Jima Monument, the Netherlands Carillon, and Arlington National Cemetery as well as the Rosslyn Station Metro Stop.
I stayed here in 2008 while on a business trip to Rosslyn. The hotel was very convenient as I had meetings in an office building less than 5 minutes away on foot. I stayed in a smaller suite on the second floor that was clean and comfortable, the only problem being the coffee pot that did not work and it was not replaced even 24 hours after reporting it broken... luckily they have free coffee downstairs 24/7. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good and it included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fresh waffles, cereal, fruit, juices, and much more.
Compared to other Residence Inns I have used, the rooms here are smaller than usual, but that is really the only drawback, and I'd gladly stay here again in the future.
This hotel might not be as nice as some other places I have stayed (like the Alexandria Weston), but its reasonable price for rooms and parking, nice amenities (like free wi-fi and breakfast), and good location more than make up for any shortcomings.

The Holiday Inn in Rosslyn, Arlington is a reasonably priced hotel in a great location just 50 yards from the Rosslyn Metro Station and only about 15 minutes from Georgetown if you are walking, less than five via taxi. This neighborhood has about 1,000 cafes open for lunch, and a handful of good dinner options as well.
The hotel itself stands about 17 stories high with half of the 307 rooms with views over the Potomac River toward Georgetown. Inside you'll find the Potomac Cafe, conference room, pool, fitness center, laundry, dry cleaning, and much more.
One of their best features is the Vantage Point Restaurant and Lounge on the top floor overlooking Georgetown (open daily for Breakfast 6:30am – 9:30am, Lunch 11:30am – 2:30pm, and Dinner from 5:30pm – 11:00pm). On the first floor you will find the Westpark Cafe, and the second floor has the Potomac Perk cafe with coffees and breakfast sandwiches.

The Radisson is a lower-end hotel in Crystal City, but it makes up for that with lower prices and a very convenient location two blocks from the Metro. Though older and less elegant than many other area hotel, it has many of the same amenities such as a swimming pool, free wi-fi (with spotty service in some rooms), free breakfast, and more. The hotel's 245 rooms and six suites were recently renovated, so are clean and modern, and each room has a sleep number bed with litle remote control thingy. All rooms also have refrigerators, microwaves, coffee pots, irons, and more. Free shuttle service to Reagan National Airport and the metro.
The hotel is also just two blocks from 23rd Street, Crystal City's liveliest area in terms of restaurants and bars that cater to evening and late night crowds. Some of my favorite places on this stretch include the Crystal City Sports Pub and the Kabob Palace Afghan restaurant, but you can also find Greek, Italian, Ethiopian, a gay bar, and a gentlemens club.

The Best Western Pentagon/Reagan is really not located all that close to either landmarks in its name. Its 205 rooms are located along the side of a busy highway. Each room has cable television with HBO and free high-speed Internet access. They offer complimentary continental breakfast, an outdoor swimming pool, and an exercise facility. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and cocktail lounge, especially since there isn't anything within walking distance.. The hotel does offer a free shuttle to the Washington Reagan National Airport and the Metro subway station.
I stayed here once back in maybe 2001 or 2002 and it was kind of a dump. Their website says the rooms have been remodeled, but who knows when that was last updated. I also tried going for a jog in the area, but it was kind of a poor neighborhood, and I didn't feel especially safe. Definately not a place I'd wander around at night alone.

View from the Sheraton - Sunrise over the Potomac
The Sheraton Crystal City Hotel has a prime location just a half block from the metro and within walking distance of the bars and restaurants on 23rd Street and, in the other direction, the Pentagon City Mall.
The hotel offers 217 guest rooms, with flat screen TVs, coffee pots, irons, and other standard amenities. Wi-fi is available, included in some room rates, and at an extra charge for other room rates. The hotel has a bar and restaurant in the lobby on the first floor, a gym, a business center, luggage storage, etc.
My stay was pleasant. The guy at the front desk was great and the rooms were nice and comfortable. Probably my only complaint was the limited control of the air conditioner. It was a controlled by an old fashioned dial on the wall, that really didn't seem to do anything. My first night it was set around 72 degrees, and it was too hot; the next night I lowered to to about 65 and I didn't feel any difference.
