Though the American independence movement began in Boston, it was formalized in Philadelphia with the establishment of the Continental Congress which met in Carpenters Hall then Independence Hall. In this city, over a 12-year period, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the US Constitution were all written. |

Philadelphia is a really neat town. Each time I go I discover new things and then I learn about more here on VT. Surprising cause it doesn't feel like a big city, yet it has all the attributes. Thanks for sharing more ideas of things to see and do. |
