Harrisburg, with just 50,000 residents, is the capitol of Pennsylvania. The town was established in 1791 and named after John Harris, one of the area's first settlers. The Pennsylvania state capital moved from Philadelphia to Harrisburg in 1812.

I spent two days in Harrisburg in February 2006 to visit the Eastern Sports Show at the massive farm show complex. It snowed on us the whole time, but we did enjoy a night out on the town at several bars and restaurants.

I've never actually been to Harrisburg, though I know the vicinity because a cousin of mine used to live nearby. Harrisburg is occasionally mentioned in the news over here in Europe because of the bankruptcy thing.
