|  | Syracuse is a big, old city located in central Upstate New York, just southeast of Lake Ontario. Because of its location, it gets a ton of snow in the winter. It is located just south of the prime fishing spots along the Salmon River and the eastern end of Lake Ontario. The fine city is home to Syracuse University.
I spent one night in Syracuse in February 2005. I stayed in a hotel at Armory Square and enjoyed the restaurants and nightlife of the area. The people here seemed very friendly -- locals and university students alike. |
