Boston -- perhaps my favorite city in the United States. The heart of New England (but not necessarily the soul!), Boston is the birthplace of the American Revolution, home to three major professional sports teams (I don't include the Patriots since they play 30 miles away), the massive Boston Marathon, a huge variety of art and culture, dozens of world-class universities, and a fantastic nightlife.

    Excellent page and tips on Boston. Good historical references. I enjoyed a trip to Boston in 2006. Great place to visit.
