The Embassy Suites is a great hotel just down the street from Atlanta's famous Buckhead entertainment district. This is a very nice hotel with any feature you can ask for, including breakfast cooked to order, free drinks each night, and fitness center.

We spent one night at the downtown Atlanta Fairfield Inn. The hotel rates run about $80 to $150 depending on night and room type. The hotel is about 1/4 mile from Peachtree Street and it restaurants and shopping areas, and about 1/2 mile from Olympic Park. We stayed here for an Atlanta Braves game...the stadium was about 1.75 miles away, which equates to a $8 cab ride.

The hotel itself is nothing fancy, but it is certainly adequate and in a fine central location. It has a pool and hot tub, wireless internet, and free breakfast included in the price, but on site parking will run you $10 for a safe, secure spot.
