"Bradenton - Springtime home of the Pirates" Bradenton by Ewingjr98

Bradenton Travel Guide: 63 reviews and 216 photos

Bradenton is a surprisingly quiet town, particularly on weekends, as the local residents flock to the local islands, or "keys," such as Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, Lido Key, and Siesta Key. The population of the city is about 50,000, and it is located between St. Petersburg to the north and Sarasota to the south. Things to do in Bradenton include watching Pittsburgh Pirates Spring training and the Pirates single A-team called the Marauders at historic McKechnie Field, visiting the Henando DeSoto National Memorial, shopping for veggies the Saturday farmers market on Old Main, and buying art at the local artists village.
