"Los Banos -- The Bathrooms?" Los Banos by Ewingjr98

Los Banos Travel Guide: 9 reviews and 29 photos

Baths..bathrooms? Either will work I guess. Funny name for a town though. The only worse named town in this area is Manteca, meaning "fat" or "lard."

Los Banos has around 30,000 residents, about 50% of whom have Hispanic roots. The town is centrally located about 2 hours from San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, and Yosemite National Park.

We share another small town discovery. Los Baņos can also mean "the baths", as in the hot springs for which the town was apparently named. I haven't found the location of those yet though...
