I have visited LA only twice, once in 1997 and again in 2008. In March 1997 I spent a weekend here so I could run the LA Marathon. We spent the first night in Hollywood, just down the hill from the famous sign, then we got up early and ran the marathon. The next night was spent in Anaheim, then we flew back home.

My second visit was in February 2008. After spending all my time in the north parts of the city last trip, on this trip we stayed exclusively in and around the beaches seeing Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Culver City.
