Bizarre Berkeley

by Ewingjr98 - last update: Jul 5, 2007

University of California at Berkeley
In June 2007 I spent one night at Berkeley at the sub-par Golden Bear Inn. We entered town from the north on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge after visiting Muir Woods, I went for a jog through downtown, then we ate dinner at the Triple Rock Brewery on Shattuck Ave. The next morning we took a quick drive around UC Berkeley then were off to Sears Point to see the NASCAR race at Infineon Raceway.

I'll have to check out the Triple Rock Brewery next time I'm in the area.

I used to live and work in Berkeley (a long time ago). I'm pretty sure that in my day they didn't have a farm in the center of town, nor did they have a bike trail called the Ohlone Greenway. (Thanks for your visit to my Weikersheim page, by the way.)
