"Munich & Starnburger See" Munich by Ewingjr98

In November 1999, I took a 4-day road trip to Vienna and Munich. As I look through my albums now, I can only find five photos from this trip... and four of them are from a crisp, clear morning at Starnburger See, south of Munich.

We left Germany's Eifel region early on a Friday morning and drove the six hours to Munich. We spent the night at a wonderful Gasthaus along the shore of Starnburger See. I got up early in the morning and took some nice shots of the lake. We left in the morning and continued with another six-hour drive to to Vienna, Austria, arriving late Saturday afternoon. We spent the afternoon and evening sightseeing, then went to bed fairly early.

The next morning, we drove back to Munich, this time spending the night at a hotel in the suburbs and taking the train into the city. The next morning (Monday) we woke up early and drove back to the western Germany..
