The Marco Polo Gateway is a very nice hotel in Kowloon with convenient access to the Kowloon nightlife, Kowloon Park, the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island, the Macau Ferry, and the Hong Kong Subway system. Though somewhat expensive at around US$100 a night, you get a high quality hotel with friendly staff, concierge, and a nice location in a major shopping center with several good restaurants on premises and right out the front door.

junecorlett Fri May 22, 2009 11:06 UTC We stayed here - I would also rather save my money for Bangkok | Nemorino Sat Sep 22, 2007 19:39 UTC Brings back memories of a great week I spent in Hong Kong on R&R from Vietnam in March 1965. It was cool there, and I could walk around the whole week without a weapon. I don't think there was an ugly tower on Victoria Peak at that time. | Jim_Eliason Sat Apr 2, 2005 21:41 UTC Nice page! | Randy121 Sun Nov 7, 2004 23:59 UTC Thanks for the information. It really is helpful!! Cheers, Randy |
