During my time in Europe I visited Brussels only twice, but it is certainly one of my favorite cities. From the beautiful architecture of the Grand Place to the more modern Atomium there is something for everyone. Restaurants serve great Belgian beer along with (French?) fries and mussels (of course you will enjoy mussels in Brussels!). Brussels is also home to the European Union Parliament and NATO Headquarters.
Centrally located in Western Europe, Belgium seems easy to get to from anywhere... it borders France, Luxembourg, Germany, & Netherlands, and it is just across the English Channel from the United Kingdom. Brussels sits near the center of the small nation.

Those hotel rates are pretty good especially nowadays! And location-wise the hotel is close to Mannekin Pis? Even better! :-)
