  • If you're looking for inexpensive accommodations, the Four Courts Hostel is an excellent choice. For about 20 Irish Pounds/person a night you can have a semi-private room (4 or 6 beds) and a private bath, but they have numerous other room options based on your budget (15-24 Euro/night). This is actually the only hostel I've ever stayed in, and we just ended up here because every hotel we tried was booked for the night, and someone who knew someone at a "new place" called the Four Courts Hostel and reserved us a room!

The Four Courts Hostel is comprised of three large buildings offering somewhere around 1,000 beds, for travelers of all ages (yes there are no min or max ages here!). Nor is there a requirement for an international hostel membership as at many other hostels. They have no curfew, a 24-hour front desk, a secure location, bike parking, luggage storage, and much, much more, all making the Four Courts one of the world's top hostels for the last few years. This also means you might have a hard time getting a room!

This Hostel is located along the river in downtown Dublin, across the River Liffey from the Four Courts, and easy walking distance to Temple Bar.

Nice page on Dublin. It’s been 10 years since I visited Dublin. I missed out on the Guinness Brewery tour, but definitely partook of the pints while traveling throughout Ireland.

Nicely written overview of Dublin. From the photo Christ Church is a flying buttress architecture cathedral, so just after 1000 AD, it must be one of the earlier ones.

Guinness is actually not a hugely popular drink in Ireland among the younger generation. What is popular espiecially in the SE of the country is a large bottle of guinness off the shelf. It's a different taste altogether from the pint.

Just checked out your Dublin page. It's a fantastic city! Loved your pages. I wish I had seen more of it last year. Cheers
