Location, location, location

If you want to be in a central location to visit various part of England this is a delightful place to stay. You are centrally located with really first class transportation. Rail links to St. pancras London only takes 35 mins. The M1 is a 10 minute drive and Luton airport is 20 mins away.

Yes, I would live in Bedford

Here is the best tip, join the Bedford Rowing Club! No not for the rowing but for the balcony that you can use overlooking the river. It costs about 50 pounds per year but that is great value. The best seat in Bedford overlooking the river on a sunny day.....
So the river in Bedford is a wonderful place to visit with nice restaurants and leafy walks.
You have everything you need in the shopping dept. Although Milton Keynes is only 12 miles away if you want more.
Entertainment is there for all with nightclubs, three, the best being Enigma. Great restaurants in and around Bedford and great entertainment at the Corn Exchange. Even Oasis played in one of the Bedford venues a few years ago.

This place is the best kept secret. property prices are substantially lower than Milton Keynes and Northampton. You get better transport links and a wonderful historical town which has many cultural attractions.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Great place to live, best kept secret, low property prices
  • Cons:High St makeover will be welcomed
  • In a nutshell:More than just a sleepy market town......a cultural country town with great transport links
