Reading others profile pages is a bit daunting for an amateur writer.....or non writer! I'll give it go anyway.
It's raining. That's a great thing for the Virginia countryside at the moment. We need more rain after a scorching summer of heat and dust. The pond was down about five feet and there was no second cutting of hay. We got our round bales off the fields but had to pay through the nose for square bales. Ah well, that's the way of farming. We are certainly not a big operation and most certainly don't live off the proceeds of hay and horses! Don't know anyone who does!! It's a good life and we work out of doors most of the time doing physical things and staying close to nature. Dogs, cats, horses and wild things teach you things. We know we are very, very privileged to live as we do. There is nothing like the view of the mountains to feed the soul.
However, I digress; this is a travel site. Our children are out of the nest with their own responsibilities, we have someone to watch the animals so we can and do take off a couple of times a year but not to long periods as there really is "no place like home".
It's stopped raining so I need to go to the barn. I'll write about our marvelous trip to India when I return to this site.
