Beautiful gondolas! The iron with the metal teeth is a symbol for the six Venecian districts, below a doges headgear! The six districts are Cannaregio, Dorsoduro, Castello, San Marco,San Paolo e Santa Croce. I feel lucky to live close enough to Venice to make it possible to visit for the weekend. My intention is to try to make everybody who reads this page, feel captured just a little by the magic which is Venice. No history, well just a tiny bit and most of the pictures show spots easily missed by a first visit. |
