Verger de Kerbellec entrance
This is farmer's market close to me on the D768 road upon reaching the last roundabout for the N165 expressway.
You need to take direction Brech, Pontivy, Pluvigner, and past the round about, on your left you see the panel for the Verger de Kerbellec. You entered a long narrow road and at the end there is this big longére or building breton, that is like a barn, inside you have all the local produce.
Apples, potatoes, carrots, lettuces, leeks, turnips, radishes, and mussels and oysters !!! with paté, rillettes, of duck, rabbit, port, beef, and apple juice, ciders, jellies, honey.
all locally done fresh off the farmer's farm. at very good prices lol!!!
I have the webpage on contact for the verger de kerbellec but all farmer's outlet in the area the site is also good. We seek them all over here.

carrefour Market
Going around town walking and shopping at different stores is a nice treat I do it in all cities I have lived. Auray is no exception.
The Carrefour market is a smaller version of the Carrefour hypermarket you find in outer city limits like the one in Vannes, here we have the market way, smaller more intimate and all groceries;
The concept is to have the real old supermarket and there are already 3,000 stores in 19 countries, making day-to-day shopping easier by offering a wide range of food products adapted to local needs at very competitive prices.
IT reminds me of the old grocery stores my mother used to owned. Very town folksy store. The store here is at the corner of ave Charles de GAulle and rue Aristide Briand.
What to buy: groceries ,food items all for the house ,apartment, gite, hotel etc
they have a ready to eat section of sandwiches and cook to order meals of the day.
What to pay: prices are competitive but a bit up as compare to other chains unless you buy the discount brand 1 of bare necessaries.
Address: 1 Avenue du Général de Gaulle, Auray
Directions: come out of train station left go to past the post office building and continue the next is Ch de Gaulle turn right and continue until store on your right. YOu can take auraybus from station to le Ballon stop store is across the street

inside Intermarche just by hams and hotdogs stand
This is another chain of supermarkets in France, all part of a group mousquetiers. The intermarché are call for lower prices but really they are all very similar. The one in Auray is very nice, wide spacious, clean, and good service. Really you find all you need here even international food .
Its about 10 kms from centre Auray on the way to Locmariaquer and Baden just past the town of Crac'h on the D28 road off the N165. My flash was not working so just took one photo inside
What to buy: food groceries and some sundry items like lightbulbs. Mainly we come here for groceries. Its just a way to go around and try them all and we love to ride a car out.
What to pay: it competes well with the other chain and has a look of low prices with brand name and their own but really I find it the same.

one of the highlights of coming to the area, this one is going towards the beaches of Carnac and La Trinite sur Mer, the store is about 15 kms from my home, and we love to shop here. The shop is full of items from many angles , the factory is right next door so you get better prices
Its really a laberynth of goodies from all of Brittany, a must when in the area.
What to buy: breton cookies, cakes, candies, and decorations as well as pottery and useful gadgets for the home. The place is full, even a counter to serve the far breton and Kouign-amann ; you will love it.
