Hotel Inglaterra from paseo de El Prado - Havana

Hotel Inglaterra from paseo de El Prado

Hotel Inglaterra: another historical Inglaterra Hotel Inglaterra Review

This is one of the mythical hotels of Havana from periods past that still hold its charms.
The oldest hotel in Cuba, which soon will celebrate its 130th anniversary. It was Inaugurated in 1875.

You enjoy the Colonial restaurant and La Sevillana, the unique bar and coffee shop. On the highest floor, a terrace bar and grill offers magnificent views of the city.

A bit of history, ,you know that Winston Churchill stayed in Hotel Inglaterra while visiting Cuba as a military observer during the Spanish-Cuban war in 1895. It was on the terrace of the café of the hotel that the independentists held their reunion to kick start the war on this part of Cuba in November 27 1871
The beautiful bar with a Sevilla look, has a golden statue representing a flamenco danser named Belle Otero, a Spanish lady of the night in the 19C.

A classic of Havana.

Unique Qualities: AC, safe boxes, centrally located in a beautiful square of Prado, A terrific terrace on top with gorgeous views of Havana especially at night

Address: Paseo del Prado No 416, between sts San Rafael and San Miguel, Havana

Comparison: about average

Directions: central park can't missed all will led you here.
